Hair care

Your hair is your crowning glory.

Stop hiding it under weaves or braids!

There are lots of things you can do to give it sheen and bounce. Nourish your natural hair and you would see the results in no time. Find the best products for your hair type.

For chemically treated hair its even more important to put a healthcare regime in place. It could be natural or organic products. Not everyone should relax their hair, sometimes texturizing it would be just fine. Its also wise to visit a good hairdresser.

Basic rules for all hair types;

1. Shampoo and condition you hair at least once a week.
2. Invest in the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type.
3. Moisturize with hair oils, creams and moisturizers.
4. Try to minimize the addition of chemicals such as relaxers and color.
5. Go easy on the braids! It breaks your hair mercilessly.

6. Deep condition with cholesterol or hair mayonnaise at least twice a month.
7. Do not comb or brush wet hair. It would break the ends.
8. Allow your hair breathe periodically. Don't fix or braid or anything.
9. lastly, love your hair and you would see it thrive.

Multitasking your wardrobe

What do I wear today?
I have no clothes!!
Sound familiar?
Everyone has fallen into a rut at one point!
When you have one of those days, don't panic.
Its time to multitask your wardrobe.
Over the weekend, arrange your clothes in advance for the next week.

Step out of your comfort zone and experiment.

1. Add a big or small belt to that dress or top or trousers
For plus sized ladies it gives you a waist line and generally makes you slimmer.

2. Invest in a few waistcoats, wear them over tshirts, shirts, tops or even boob tubes.

        3. Mix and match your tops and bottoms

4.Play with colors, put together a colorful ensemble that you wouldn't normally wear.
You would be surprised at what you would come up with.

5.Revamp your old clothes, reduce a hemline, add applique to an outfit, change some buttons...

Fashion DONTS

“Soon as a fashion is universal, it is out of date.” -Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach

Have you ever seen some women wearing, um ... what they shouldn't wear?!
I have an inexhaustible list.
I would highlight them over time....

1. Undersized clothes.
A major offence with far too many repeat offenders.
Ladies, I know you wish you were 4 sizes smaller,
But you aren't!

2. Over sized clothes
They make you look much bigger than you really are.
Wear clothes that are your actual size.

3.Cleavage
Don't expose too much cleavage during the day and to work.
Those looks are best suited for nigh time.
Even then ,it should be in moderation.

4.Extreme colour blocking
I haven't quite figured out whether i like this fad or not.
I don't actually think it suits everyone.

5.Make up gone wrong
Apply makeup in moderation.
There is a difference between daytime and nighttime make up.

A casual look, it can be spiced up by adding a jacket.

-Autum Worcester

You bought it in a flea market?
It’s a Louis Vuitton bag?

Like caring for anything, it doesn't cost much money , just a little time.
  1. Store them properly.
  2. Invest in a bag rack.
  3. Store them in dust bags.
  4. Clean them with the right cloths and cleaning agents, even when they are not being used.
  5. Invest in at least 10 good pieces and use alternatively for long lasting use.
  6. Is it out of fashion? But still in good condition? Take it off your bag rack, store in a dust bag and put it preferably in a plastic storage bin, where it would be protected form dust. It would definitely come back into fashion and by then its vintage!
